Prof. Dr. Stephan Krinke

Prof. Dr. Stephan Krinke is Head of Sustainability Management and Life Cycle Engineering at Fraunhofer IST and Professor for Sustainability Management at the Technical University of Braunschweig.

His research focus is sustainability and consulting for mayor industries.
This covers the development and implementation of decarbonisation roadmaps, circular economy strategies and life cycle based instruments for the management of sustainability aspects.
Prof. Krinke lectures since more than 20 years environmental and sustainabilty management at different universities.

Prof. Krinke has a broad experience in the development and implementation of sustainability strategies in industry. He worked 22 years at Volkswagen AG, where he held different leading management positions:
Head of environmental affairs product, Head of group environmental affairs, Environmental management officer of VW AG and Head of sustainability strategy in the general secretariat of the CEO.

Prof. Krinke represents Fraunhofer in national and internantional bodies and organisations such as the DIN committee for LCA and product related environmental labelling and the council of the Association of Sustainability and Environmental Management in Industry (VNU).
