Helmholtz-Zentrum Hereon
Lukas Jarren holds a Master’s degree in Chemistry with a focus on organic chemistry and data science from the University of Hamburg. Since 2023, he has been a PhD student at the Helmholtz-Zentrum Hereon in Geesthacht, within the Institute of Surface Science and the
Department of Modelling. His research focuses on developing computer-based corrosion protection concepts for secondary aluminum using simulation and data-driven approaches. This work is part of the S3alu project, which aims to create a digital twin for an automotive
component made of secondary aluminum for Volkswagen. The doctoral project is supervised by Prof. Dr. Mikhail Zheludkevich, Head of the Institute of Surface Science at the Helmholtz-Zentrum Hereon and Professor at the Institute of Materials Science at Kiel University.
