Dr.-Ing. Heinrich A. Fuchs took a degree in Mechanical Engineering and later his PhD in Metallurgy at the Technische Universität Munich. After he had finished his PhD he worked on a post doctorate project in the Department of Metallurgy and Science of Materials at the University of Oxford.

During his industrial career he held various managerial positions in Operations, Technical Sales and Development in Light Metal Components producing companies, covering casting, extrusion, forging and rolling processes, finally as Vice President Engineering with the operational responsibility for the global R&D unit of the Aluminium Division “Martinrea-Honsel” of Martinrea Inc.. He is now semi-retired and holds the positon of “Vice President Engineering” for Martinrea Honsel, working as an internal consultant.
